Goal: To shape the best possible healthcare for the patients of tomorrow.
Methods: Integrates actively with the innovation eco system – locally, nationally and globally. Forming partnerships with industry, leading academic institutions and other world leading hospitals. Also empowering patients and clinical staff to drive innovation.
1. What are the current market trends you see shaping the Enterprise Mobility landscape?
• IoT is enabling location independent work and business. Blockchain helping with securing the relevant data and processes. 5G mobile and network slicing will help adoption of more specialised, time critical applications.
• Augmented reality is transforming the way we present things. New materials will in the medium and long term help even further.
2. 2017 was a huge year for enterprise mobility. More and more businesses are beginning to take advantage of mobile and emerging tech to streamline their processes, boost efficiency and better engage with their employees.
Measuring what really ‘IS’, instead of making assumptions will help decision making to be based on real data
As adoption of the IoT across a range of industries still continues to grow, how would 2018 pan out for the companies taking advantage of wearable tech to better equip their employees and improve productivity?
• Connecting users and providers with real time data will allow for predictive modeling of outcomes, regardless if IoT is wearable or embedded tech.
• Measuring what really ‘IS’, instead of making assumptions will help decision making to be based on real data.
3. Please elaborate on the challenges that the organisations will need to address related to delivering a seamless enterprise mobility to their employees.
• This is the grand challenge of digitizing the entire business model. It will change interactions and processes within the organisations, with suppliers and customers. Cost and revenue models will change, and areas that require human interaction will change. Business model innovation skills will be crucial.
4. The continued rise of flexible and remote working has contributed to a surge in BYOD. With more than 67 percent of workers now using their own devices at work. But because of this, one in five businesses is expected to experience a BYOD security breach. How can CIOs cope with these ever growing threats?
• Embrace it, don’t fight it; or
• Provide better tech to employees than what they buy for themselves.
5. What are the major tasks for organisational CIOs at this point in time? Is there any unmet need in terms of Enterprise Mobility space that is yet to be leveraged from the vendors?
• To be an enabler in terms of organisational digitalisation. To interact closely with customers, users, own staff and suppliers.
6. What is your advice for budding technologists in the Enterprise Mobility space?
• Experiment a lot, with partners and customers included!
